I have typed this out for a few people already, so I thought I would post it for anyone else who doesn't know how to put a background image on their new profile!

First go under your UserCP and click the Pictures & Albums link.
Click the add album link and make an album (or if you already have an album you want to use, click on it to open it).
Click the link that says "Click here to upload pictures!" and upload whatever image you want to use for your background.
Give the image a caption and click the save changes button.
When the board takes you back to the album click on the image so that it opens on another page.
Copy the URL for that page from the address bar.
Go back to the UserCP, and then go to the "Customize profile" link on the left sidebar.
Paste the URL into the "Background Image" box in the first section and VIOLA!

i used an image from my comp. it's just an icon collage from a myspace thing. :teehee but you can use a pic and have it repeat so there are no gaps.

Hmmmmm, I just did this, and I don't think it worked! :( AARRGH! :duh Wonder what I did wrong?

its not working for me. I went to my photobucket account and copied an image i had from there onto my cp then uploaded it to my msos account and tried just like your direction but it dosent show the image.

you have to upload the pictures to MSOS photo albums, on your profile there are albums, you simply upload your image there and then take the url from the address bar.

if you right click on your image and hit "open in a new window", copy and paste the URL into the background image place it works. I had issues too.

After you upload it into a MSOS album, of course.

Click on your name here in the thread and when the little menu pops up select the "View Public Profile" option.
