....that i've known for months now that he will be leaving but for some reason it has taken forever to get his orders cut. then today he says

"hey babe! finally they cut my orders!"

it just cut through me like a knife. Why wasn't I prepared? :sigh

...maybe i figured they'd have a change of heart. wishful thinking. :depressed

Nothing really prepares you. You think you're strong and ready for it but it breaks your heart. It's even worse when they actually leave. Keep smiling and trying to be strong. Take care!

I completely understand. It took a long time for DH's orders, and when he called me to say he go them, it really hit hard. :hugs

I know how you feel my hubby didnt get his orders until a week before he left but we knew for 4 months that he was deploying I remember when he called me and told me It hurt so bad! Hang in there!
