Does anyone know of any Charity's that help with funeral costs?
My cousin has asked me to look up Charity's that will help cover the costs for a funeral for her baby. The hospital told her the baby wont get a SSI # ,so the can't get help from SSI.

We didnt qualify for any help with Danica's and she lived. She didnt qualify for SSI either. We had to borrow the money from my parents to pay for the funeral and then repay them when we got her life insurance money. Which I know that they dont qualify for either. Let me ask a girl I know down here that had a stillborn baby and see if she knows of anything.
I do know, that most funeral homes will give "greatly" discounted rates for babies. We only paid a 1/4 of the actual for Danica's, but it still came out to $2000 when it was all said and done.

I know this is in the UK, but she could always email them and ask if they know of a charity in the states

That is so sad that they don't have some kind of help to pay . Not only are the parents grieving ,but they have to stress about the cost of a funeral. :depressed .
Thank you for asking your friend :hugs

You can still claim Danica on your income taxes, but I know with stillborns you can't, from what I've read. :sadeyes.

Are they military??? navy relief will give them a grant/loan to cover it as well. the majority is in the form of a grant that they will not have to pay back. I think the max amount for loan from them for this $300. They just need to take the estimate from the funeral home with them.
