We're read how great this inexpensive household item is, but can you use it to clean your bathroom? I'm sure you can clean the dirt off with it well, but does it eliminate bacteria...like from your toilet on the inside & out or your sink handles and the door knob?
ETA: here's a website I found...1001 Uses for Vinegar :lol

I dunno either, I'm a bleach kinda gal myself and it's just as cheap as vinegar. I don't like the smell of vinegar either.

vinegar is a disinfectant. It does disinfect. so it's perfectly safe to use in the bath room and gets rid of all the germs too.

Thanks! I was just going to post what I read:
White distilled vinegar is a popular household cleanser, effective for killing most mold, bacteria, and germs, due to its level of acidity.

I alternate using vinegar and bleach. The bleach smell bothers Dh so I give him a break now and then. :giggle
I was using it to clean my tub when I flooded my house and it sure did clean my carpets!

most people just associate the smell of bleach with being clean. But vinegar has tons of uses. :yes

Yep, my mom uses it to clean everything, including the bathroom. The hospice nurses actually recommended it to her instead of using harsher chemicals like bleach. Inhaling bleach at all for a chemo patient is not good, I try not to use the stuff at all.

My floors don't feel slick when I wipe them down with vinegar diluted with warter.
I use it the wash whenever I have gone overboard with the soap. It helps get rid of the excess soap.

I've been using it in the rinse cycle :) We have Tide w/ Bleach and I think it's too harsh so until that's used up, seems the vinegar is helping! I like how the clothes smell too.

I use vinegar to clean with all the time. I like that it's safe but gets the job done.
