Hi Guys-
You have to check out this website. www.survivingmilitaryseparation.com
It's a new book by a Dept. of Defense Guidance Counselor to help us through deployments and separations. It has 365 activities to do while your servicemember is gone.
Hope it helps. It has some great reviews on the website!
Looks like it can be pre-ordered on Amazon for less money as well. http://www.amazon.com/SURVIVING-MILITARY-SEPARATION-365-Days/dp/1932714235/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1199039646&sr=1-3

Those books are all great, but this one actually has activities that you can do to help pass the time. I saw the rough draft at a book fair and was really impressed. I wish I could have ordered it then, but the printer hadn't completed it. I already ordered my pre-order copy. The rep at the book fair said that there was over 2,000 pre-orders already.
The book also has this chracter called Sammy (or something like that) to helpmotivate us.
Any help will help!!!!

I'm deleting your other post because posting identical posts is considered spamming. I will leave this one up as long as you do not post another one in regards to this book. Thanks :)

No problem. Just trying to help out the masses. We already have so many issues to deal with since our husbands are gone and since my FRG isn't doing much to put out good information, I thought I would. I just thought this would help everyone.
Sorry.

If I remember right, most of the activities you can do alone. I think that some, you may want to grab some friends or a friend, but overall, I think the book is set up for you to make it through the deployment and still be sane at the end with or without help. Hope that helps.
I think that is why they put the mascot Sammy in, to be with you the whole time. It's a really well thought out book. I contacted the publisher and they said that it was at the printer now, so it should be coming out in the next couple of weeks.
