You need to ask for a letter of deployment from the command

it is the servicemembers civil relief act- and you can get the information by googling

SCRA...

there is no law saying they have too-- they can and do deny the requests if you are very much n debt, the debt was incurred after joining or you are in default or late on any of the bills.

The debt was not incurred after joining, because we haven't even left for boot yet. Not late or default of any bills. I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row for when he gets in. (March/April)

cool,, then this is right for you-- once he has "orders" to boot camp you can call each creditor and ask for the reduction--

just a little hint-- ask for a reduction in the interest rate-- but do not ask for the 6%-

alot of times they will lower it to 0 or less than 6% if you let them do most of the talking--

now if they say more than 6% then speak up and say no-- wait isn't it suppose to be 6%?
and they should give you at the most 6%..

GOOD LUCK== this is here to help out new recruits and I hope it works for you!!
