Someone please help me! How much time do you get with your SO at Navy graduation (if they're not grad. and go)? Is it usually just the Friday of graduation or do they have time with family on Saturday or Sunday, too?

They have leave, I'm pretty sure, on saturday and sunday as well as friday. I know that if they're not grad and go, they get to leave base (no more than 50 miles) from the time they graduate until like, 9 PM. They get to do the same on Saturday and Sunday, except with no graduation. Have fun, and let us know how it goes!!!

Can't reply about the Navy, but when my husband graduated from the army Boot Camp, he immediately had to leave for airborne school. He had no time with me!!!!! It sucked.

I think it depends where there A "school" is, my DB is going to still be in chicago so he doesn't have to go anywhere, hes just moving across the street or something but i read something about on some website that sometimes they have to leave the next day after graduation if they are going somewhere else.

they are free from friday after grad till they have to be back at the base, and then are usually free to leave the base either saturday or sunday. When dh graduated, he got friday and saturday free, but had to stand watch on sunday so we all just spent time on base waiting for him. On duty day they aren't allowed to leave the base at all. so if you want to spend that day with him you have to stay on base.

DH had off half of Friday (he had watch the other half), Saturday, Sunday & Monday (holiday).

Yeah it all depends on his A school. As him in your next letter. According to my DB I only get Friday and Saturday then Sunday he has to go to the airport to leave for A-school and he wants me to meet him there to give him his laptop,cell, etc..

My man graduates navy boot Feb 8, we better get the weekend together. :trailer heehee
