Mike began his drive to North Carolina today. He'll be meeting up with his unit (he's IA with 2nd LAR Marines), training for 2 months, then he'll be home for 10 days of leave before deploying to Iraq in the Spring. He's only gone for 2 months, so it's really not that bad.

I'm trying to be strong :) I just pray he has good weather for his drive.:yes

We are both from Massachusetts, he was stationed about 45 minutes from our hometown in Newport,Rhode Island. So, he's driving quite a bit! He is driving with a friend who is also going to Lejeune.
