joe just left from his two weeks leave to go back to washington. he deploys early 2008. so this was possibly our last goodbye for a year. :tears he doesn't think he can come home again before he deploys. i told him i would come up there if he can't come back. i don't think i have fully understood that i might not see him for a YEAR. :tears it hasn't hit me. i can't comprehend not seeing him for that long. i need to do everything possible to make it up there before he leaves. :tears

ok, that's my whining. :depressed :sigh

is there anything i can do for joe or myself to make it easier on us that we won't see each other for so long? i'm not positive i'll be able to save enough money to go up there.

we'll be able to talk on the phone just like usual for a few more months before he deploys.

Have over the phone movie dates if you can, send random i love you messages, little things that you will be able to have memories of while hes gone to add to the memories you already have!!

do you have a webcam? maybe that will help so that way you guys can still see each other but not physically kwim? and as they always say, just keep yourself busy. start scrapbooking pictures of you guys yeah it'll make you miss him but you'll see all the good times you guys have had. hope this helps :hugs

Awww, hang in there girl! The webcam will help a ton. :D

It will get easier, but only a bit. I got to see my Airman a few days before he left and it was great and very difficult at the same time. Just keep yourself busy if possible and remember how much you love him. There will be days that the time flies and other days when it seems like it will never end. Just remember that lots of people care about you both! :D

The webcam will make it fun. We will be chatting on yahoo when we can, and e-mailing. I plan on writing a long e-mail/letter every day to let him know what is going on here so he feels connected. DS is going to do the same thing.

i told him about the web cam and he got really excited. he said it was one of my best ideas yet lol. he's so silly. but i'm not sure he can use it when he's out to sea because i don't think they can hook it up to the computer they have internet access on, and he doesn't have internet on his laptop while on the ship. BUT when they get to ports he can go on base and use the wireless so i can at least see him when he's in port. he won't have his cell phone while on deployment :( anyways, pretty good compromise i think! :woohoo
