Maybe my cat has that. My little girl cat, Kali, compulsively grooms herself. She's really soft but she has a bad habit of grooming the fur right off of her skin on her belly.

She suffered REALLY severe nerve damage after I put Hartz flea drops on her two years ago. The vet said she wouldn't live six more months but here she is, two years later! She turned 10 in August.
