So I know sometimes it looks like I am not very prideful of my husband or of the service he is doing in the Navy. However, I am extremely proud of my husband and what he does. It is difficult knowing he hates going to work on the boat everyday (with the exception of a few lucky weekends) in 3 month increments but I am so proud of him for what he does. He works his butt off and he is a closet proud military man (he doesn't normally show off that he is military or use the available discounts, etc but he is proud of it).

Just wanted to share this with you, if you read it and understand thank you. It is hard to put it into words how I actually feel about the military. My heart swells when I see a service member out in uniform and when I see the homecomings on the news. My heart breaks when I see that someone died in Iraq or Afghanistan, etc.

I understand completely.

My hubby is also closet proud, and I'm a closet proud wife lol.

Wow i wonder if that makes sense.

I totally understand! I'm very proud of my DH...and when we are together in public and he's in uniform, I'm so honored and proud being his wife!

I completely understand and I think its very sweet of you to write that...I am also sooo proud of db...sometimes i forget to tell him...one day he told me he was so proud of the work i do (im a 8th grade teacher for at risk kids)and I was like WHOA wait a minute, my job doesn't even come close to what you do!

sometimes we don't say it often enough...but its always on my mind...i am so proud to tell people what he does...and even prouder that he belongs to me!!!:D:D:D
