Just wondering if any of you have someone that just left for boot camp / BCT to Fort Jackson? My husband just left out sunday. I'm kinda haing a hard time with the seperation thing I have never been more than 24 hrs without him until now :tears . I am trying to be strong for Dawson (2 1/2) and Ally (1). But I don't think I am going to be able to handle this !!! How do you just make yourself go?

Mine's not at Jackson, but he is at BCT and it is hard, but all you can do is do your best to get through the day one day at a time. It isn't easy, but you can do it. We all can do it. If he just left, then you should be getting a phone call to say he's there safely from Reception in the next few days and then once he moves to his actual company he'll send you his address and you can start sending letters which surprisingly helps more than you'd think. Once he's a few weeks in to it, they'll start getting to call home once a week too. So just know that there is contact as he gets through it. and take each day at a time.
