If you close a card and it still has a balance what will that do to other APRs? Will it up them? The remaining balance will be paid in full as soon as the check arrives.

If it's an option I would wait to close it till it's paid in full. It wont only look bad and might get a higher int rate on the rest of your cards but it will also lower your FICO score cause you will have a negative ratio.

Usually if you close it it stays the same, unless there is some clause that states if you close your account the APR goes up to blah blah.
