Okay.. so I am not sure if this should be in here or deployment prep...
So.. my husband leaves in May and my son will be like 10 months .. I am scared that when he gets back our son won't know who he is!!!
I am thinking about making like a book of Daddy and Me with all different pictures of my husband doing things and pictures of him and my son.. and then read it to him every night before bed .. does this sound really stupid .. or do you having any other ideas???
I just don't want my husband to get back and pick up my son and him scream cause he doesn't know who he is!!

I def. dont think he will forget him! Every time my hubby calls (he left a few days before my son turned 9mons) i let him talk to Jack and Jack always smiles and "talks" back to him. I do show him pics but for the most part i just let them talk. Your son already knows daddys voice just like he knows yours! My son will be 14mons when my dh comes back. How long is your dh gone for? I think the book is a good idea really. I probably shouldve done something like that hehe. But as far as screaming goes when he goes to pick him up- i would just recommend that you let your son go to your dh in his own time ya know? My son is very shy and if someone tries to take him or me give him to someone hes never been around or hasnt seen in a while - he will def. scream so ive told dh what to expect and we are gonna let Jack go to him. The key with our son is if you play with him he will warm up much more quickly.
