So Ladies--
My DH will be going to AIT soon...Jus have a few questions:

1. When does he get his 1st duty station/ orders?

2. How long after SO got home did it take to move?

3. Do they automatically give you 'Moving pay' and stuff? or- do you have to go in and get it yourself?

Not sure in regards to your DH.

My DB went threw OSUT wich is BCT and AIT put together. He got about 10 days before he had to report to his duty station plus a few more because he went to schools to talk about the army.

They told him where he was to report to before his graduation.

The only money he got was the money to get him there because he didn't take the transportation that they offered. It wasn't much though.

THANK YOU! wow, 5days to move! thats not alot of time lol...He has to apply for those things at the travel office were AIT is, or when he gets home? & they can just give you the $ after you move- thats wrong of them lol

Yep thats exactly what DB did. His was at Ft. Knox for 15 weeks straight

Cept they gave him a total of i think 14 days if Im correct. But around 6 of those days he was "working" by going to schools and talking about the army. Maybe your SO can sign up for that and spend more time at home.

DB only spent about 3-5 hours at a school every few days. Wasn't bad at all
