Do you pay your bills on their due dates or as they come in, provided the funds are available?

I used to pay right on the due date. Not a big deal but sometimes the $$ would be gone already. Dh was like pay them when we get paid so it's over and done with. :arg

If I wait for the due date, sometimes the $$ doesn't go through right away and we end up with a late fee! (:vent) so I like to pay them when the $$ comes in, if possible!

I have them scheduled to be paid the first payday after I get the bill. So usually about two weeks before the due date.

I pay them when we get paid and according to due date. so if something typically has a due date of the 20th then on the 15th I pay all the bills with due dates between the 15th-EOM. same with the EOM pay period. Mostly because I don't want to forget one and then not have the money for it kwim?

All other bills, I pay them at least 2 days before they're due. 99% of our bills can be paid in person or online w/o fees!

We pay them as soon as we get the money as we are trying to become debt free and the sooner bills are paid, the sooner we know exactly how much we have to pay down our debt

yup i pay almost everything online. I think only the water bill is paid via mail because they don't do online payments. :mumble

I send the ones that are due on the 1-3 by the 25-26 of the month before. The rest get sent as they come in. I have alot that are due on the 1st to on the 3rd so I just gather them all up and send them together.

I know. The 1st sucks cause that is when our rent, mortgage (Our renter pays the first friday of the month so if the 1st fall on like a Monday or Tuesday we have a few days before he pays us and it clears), my school loans, and the Star card is due. Between them all that check is pretty much gone. And then I still have 2 or 3 due on the 2nd and 3rd. I keep a coushin in the account to cover checks cause of the timing of them. After all of that though we only have 3-4 bills for the rest of the month.

The Truck and the Mortgage money goes to a separate account and they are auto withdrawn.

Usually right as they come in so I can see what I have left over to put into savings or to make extra principal payments on the Jeep.

I pay bills on payday. on the 1st we have 2 bills that I pay early because they arent due til the 10th and on the 15th I pay 2 bills early also. 1 is due on the 17th and the other is due on the 27th

We pay everything on the first of the month. Then, we don't have to worry about it again until the following month. I feel less stressed that way. We have been doing it that way ever since we got married. :D

m hubby has an allotment for 300 dollars to be sent to my account back in tx and we pay most of the bills with that but the car payment is automatically deducted out of his account on the 1st and the 15th of every month. we dont touch the 300 its only for bills.

I actually pay my bills early. I have all of mine set up so that they are due a week after payday so that I can pay them a week early.

I have certain bills I pay on each payday..I have them all lined up..so anyone can come into my office on a payday and pay my bills for me..all they would have to do is open my bill folder and see what bills have to be paid and pay them.

I pay most of my bills through mycheckfree.com. I have a spreadsheet of what bills need to be paid including out budget for that pay period. it has helped me alot. I usually scheduled all the bills that needs to be paid as the LES comes out. it makes life alot easier.

I have a very specific budget with due dates for every single bill on it. When I get paid, I pay as many bills as possible right away, then some are on automatic debit.
