View Full Version : Sleeper sofas...
MelissaMc424 01-11-2008, 01:08 PM Who's got one???
We're looking into getting one when we get new living room furniture.. especially since at the moment we have no guest room.
Victoria 01-11-2008, 01:10 PM We've got one from Ashley!!! It's ok, but I wouldn't sleep on the mattress for too long. I can feel the springs and it's been RARELY used.
We actually went to Lay-Z-boy when looking for our new sectional. They have a REALLY neat sleeper sofa AIR mattress that you can upgrade to. SO NEAT!!! You have to see the demonstrations. :lol

I'm looking online at Ashley ones.. and we'd most likely stock up on a memory foam pad or something to put over top..
Once we transfer, we'll have a guest room.. but I'd still like to have a sleeper just incase.. kwim?
Jennifer 01-11-2008, 01:14 PM We do. we have a pad to put on top because no matter how you work it, those mattresses are not comfy.
rosebud* 01-11-2008, 01:14 PM we have one. :blech I dont' like it. it's ok to sleep on for a night or two, but i couldn't imagine a week or more. My parents had one too and that one kinda sucked as well. a good egg pad or other foam thing can help with something like that.
Theresa 01-11-2008, 01:16 PM We did but I FINALLY got rid of and will not go back to having another. Way too heavy to move, and way too uncomfortable. I'm actually contemplating purchasing a full size bed for our youngest and letting guests sleep there when they visit.
Most people stay in a hotel though when they come, so I don't want to inconvenience myself for the sake of 1 person that visits maybe once a year. :lol
Teresa 01-11-2008, 01:16 PM My friend has one she just bought from Ethan Allen that is awesome! It has an air mattress but it looks like a regular mattress. She says it is SUPER comfy! They are very expensive, though :sadeyes I like the prices of the Jennifer convertibles but we don't have a showroom near us so I don't know how comfy they are.
Teresa 01-11-2008, 01:18 PM I know it's not a sofa, but I've been thinking of ordering one of these (http://www.ezbed.com/) for when we have guests since we don't have an extra room. They are pretty affordable, too!
Shep's Wife 01-11-2008, 01:19 PM We used to have one and it was great for sleep overs with the kids and for weekend company.

My DD already has a full size bed.. My dad will stay in a hotel, but my mom always stays with us when she visits. She swears she's comfortable on the floor (refuses our airbed) but I'm thinking a sleeper would be a good idea for us.

That's exactly what I'm thinking!
JustBreathe 01-11-2008, 02:55 PM We had one. I like the IDEA of it, but super uncomfortable. Also really heavy to move!
flangl18 01-11-2008, 03:05 PM Our current sectional has one, but we are getting rid of it this spring when I buy new living room furniture. It sucks to sleep on. Our oldest daughter has a queen size bed and she gives that up for guests and sleeps in with our other daughter. If we have more guests than that, they can get a hotel....=)
