Just curious if anyone here has an SO on the Peleliu. My husband transferred from the Princeton to the Peleliu recently and I just wanted to see if there were any other girls here tied to that ship. :)

We were on the USS Peleliu from 1997-2001. I really miss San Diego.

Yep he's new to the ship, he's been in the Navy for 6 years now and have always stationed here in San Diego.

Cool! Dh has been in a little over 4 years and he's always been here in SD too. What does your husband do on the ship? Mine is a QM.

Yes via email. They should have personal email with the ship.

My dh ship is out doing work ups with the Peleliu and almost the whole strike group right now. The ships email has been down not sure when it will be back up or if its just on my dhs ship and a few others.

whats ESG 3? My hubbys not on the P hes with their strike group thats all I know.

ESG 3 is the strike group that the P is in. Along with other boats, air squadron and amphibs.

:yes Email was down expect for a few computers last night on the Peleliu, my dh got on one that worked and sent me a quick one to let me know. Then I got one this morning that it was back on but he wasn't sure how long it would be working.

yeah the thing that sucks about my DH's ship is they have only 2 computers in the library and when there down thats it.
