We have USAA for our car insurance were just wondering how thier auto loans are, are they strict on thier credit guidelines.
Im trying to get the best auto loan w/ bad credit.
FYI- we were denied a credit card through them due to credit, Im assuming we wouldnt be able to get approved for a auto loan eithier:dunno

It never hurts to ask/apply. I would submit an application and see what htey have to say. It can be easier to secure an auto (or other collateral) loan than it is a credit card because there is collateral, ie the car, involved. If you default on the loan they can repossess the item and recoup some of their loss - if you default on a credit card there is nothing to "take".
We financed DH's boat through USAA - they actually sent us a pre-approval which happened to come at the same time DH was hitting me up for a boat (call it fate?) and had the best terms we had been offered.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking.. when I had called about the credit card, she explained that thier credit guidelines for thier credit cards are much more stricter than other credit cards, she said thier credit cards are one of the best to have, but I didnt think about asking about thier auto loans and wasnt sure if they could tell me without pulling my credit.

We have our jeep financed through them.. seems like they approve just about anyone.. the only thing is that if your credit's bad, you'll have a higher interest rate.

I have had three auto loans through them and I love them. Their customer service has always been awesome, and they've always offered me WAY lower interest rates than anyone else. :thumbsup
They have pretty good rates and if you agree to automatic payments your chances increase. Make sure to get the GAP insurance with the loan!!

sometimes if you wait to refinance with them it is easier to get a loan too. Navy fed would never just give us a car loan, but a refi always worked. It might be the same way for USAA.
