Here is a link just for a general idea: http://www.malepregnancy.com/ :no :suspect Rach 12-15-2005, 09:06 AM How can this be "morally" right? i ask that b/c if this story is true, they are monitoring his body to see how it reacts. With a women's body, we know it is meant to carry a fetus while knowing she could potentially lose the baby...But with this, they do not know for sure a man's body can carry a fetus like that so they are taking the risk of his body rejecting it or the baby not developing, thus dying. Shouldn't that be put in the same category as those that are against cloning? Also, how can they know for sure this baby will not have learning disabilities b/c of this work? Becca 12-15-2005, 09:12 AM I think it's wrong, much like I think cloning is wrong. Same concept, scientists in some lab screwing around with the human body. Not cool. Brandi 12-15-2005, 10:08 AM http://www.snopes.com/pregnant/malepreg.htm Potatocup 12-15-2005, 10:09 AM I don't have much to say about this except this is weird and wrong. All I can think of is the book A Brave New World when it comes to this and cloning.... Rach 12-15-2005, 10:11 AM http://www.snopes.com/pregnant/malepreg.htm I'm glad it's False Brandi 12-15-2005, 10:19 AM yes, I am too :lmao Brandi 12-15-2005, 10:21 AM If this even were "possible", I think the risk of all the extra medical intervention, extra hormones/chemicals, etc. would be WAAAAAAAAAY more of a risk to the child than what this would be worth. RockstarMom 12-15-2005, 11:17 AM Oh course I always joke with Conor and tell him next time HE is carrying the baby :lmao ...but you're right, it's wrong. Rach 12-15-2005, 11:26 AM It's just.....gross... Aundi 12-15-2005, 12:23 PM I saw a little thing on cnn recently about a baby that grew outside of the uterus and was delivered by way of surgery. The baby had actually implanted in the mothers abdomen and on an organ (can't remember which one in that case) and grew there. It has only happened a handful of times in history but it's what they say gives scientists the notion that a uterus may not be something entirely necessary. I think it's just really gross and I am not even talking from a religious aspect..........when I do take a moment to look at it from a religious view, my opinion of it is EVEN worse for obvious reasons. I would think if theres a hell that would certainly be a one way ticket there:hehe heres a small aritcle I found about babies growing outside of the womb http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/2932608.stm Frankie Lee 12-15-2005, 03:36 PM The idea just scares me! BubblesAngel13 12-15-2005, 05:07 PM This is just wrong!! :no :sadeyes Nickschic 12-15-2005, 05:38 PM Aundi I saw the same story on discovery health channel it was pretty neat but very odd |
