Very interesting article. It concerns me that administrators and other people in positions of power seem to be pushing towards "fixing" the autistic patients instead of addressing the problem of bullying. I do believe that these autistic children need help learning social skills, but I think that someone needs to address the underlying issue which is the cruelty of children.

Absolutely. Though, the school can't do it alone, it has to come from parents too. However, the school can set strict guidelines for the conduct of the bullying students.

For sure. It's really going to have to be a societal change. But, we have to start somewhere. :) This is actually what I'm studying for my masters thesis. It's a tough problem, but I'm looking for a solution.
