DB proposed to me about 2 weeks ago in Texas!! :yay
He did so without a ring. He felt terrible for not having one, but I was leaving the next morning. He said when I came down for my spring break that I will have a ring then.
But... He still has yet to tell his family. I asked him if he's planning on it. He said yes, but just would like me to have a ring first before he tells them.. :dunno
His family lives close to me, so I'm sure they would call me and would like to see me which is fine. I would be fine with them knowing that I did not have a ring initially, but I guess he's not. :confuzzle
Kinda sucks in a way, to have to wait another 6 weeks or so to announce something like that, ya know?! :whatever
