My Dh and I have decided to TTC asap. We feel we're ready for a family of our own and I'm so excited. At the same time I'm afraid that it will take forever to conceive. Is there anything I need to do to get pregnant soon? Your advice would really help me out a lot.:tu

Sorry I don't have any advice. It took us no time to go from TTC to pregnant. Just wanted to say good luck with the baby making!

knowing your cycle is a good start. I have a 28 day cycle. like a clock, it made it very easy to figure out when I ovulated. If you are irregular then I know Jennifer always recommends the book taking charge of your fertility.

Agreed. You can take an over the counter prenatal supplement plus some folic acid. The folic acid is extremely important to the baby's development. I also agree that you should start to learn your cycle. Pay attention to your period as well as your cervical fluid. When your cervical fluid has the consistency of egg whites and is stretchy, you're most likely to be fertile. And you know, have sex. Lots of it. But not every day. Maybe every other day at the most. That makes sure his swimmers are always in top condition.

read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It's an AMAZING book about fertility and reproductive health that every woman should read. It runs less than 20 bucks at most major bookstores and Amazon.
