I have a friend on here that I've known for maybe 5 years, we haven't met in person but we're good friends. She lives on the other side of the country and it's neat that I've met a few people who know her from when they were stationed with her.
DH's rating is such a small community but when he meets another AG, he starts comparing where they've been & who they know, 9 times out of 10 he knows someone they know.
Have you ever met someone who was friends with someone you used to be stationed with ... even if you're on the other side of the globe?

It was like that when DH was an AC.
I know when I was in high school, my best friend and I got to talking one day. Our dads were stationed at the same base when we were in kindergarten. She pulled some pics out. She had pics of her when she was 5, playing with me when I was 5!!!!! Neither of us remember each other from back then, but that was one moment that really made think of the saying "it's a small world". We are still really good friends to this day:)

Actually funny story here...
the CMC in our first command together knew and worked with my dad when we lived in Salt Lake City. My dad recognized his name when they came to see me ( while the squadron was on deployment) in the local paper. My parents went with me to my spouse meeting and ran into his wife, who remembered them vividly. I was around 2-5 when we all lived there so no memories.lol But for the next few years we were stationed together she would tell everyone how she used to hold me in her lap and here I was about to have a baby. Once the CMC knew it was no holds barred after that. lol
so yes a really small world. :giggle

You wanna know whats REALLY crazy about a small world?
I finally met another ranger SO and she's has been awesome! Fun to talk to, same opinions and overall very helpful with answering all of my questions. We when we started talking we found out that we both used to live in the same part of Washington. Then when we started talking more.....we found out we went to the same damn highschool! Me, her, and my DB!! Of course she graduated before we were there but I mean still, its crazy small world!! Now I'm hoping DB gets stationed in Ft. Lewis. If he does, we'll all be living in the same place AGAIN. Our SOs will be in the same batallion and we'll practically be living the same life. Talk about a small world!
