So I just put our new comforter on our bed and it's extremely staticky. It's sticking to my sheets and shocked me a bunch. It's too big to put in my dryer so I wasn't planning on washing it, but should I too get rid of the static or is there something else I can do? TIA.

try lightly spraying with hairspray.....even better would be if you could put it in your dryer on a low setting for a few minutes after that :)

I thought you could put water on it like from a squirt bottle? but i am not positive if that would work. I guess its worth a shot of all else fails :) I hate static! My car has it sooo bad and it shocks me EVERY TIME I get out the car! :gaah

I was just gonna say hairspray too. Maybe try watered down hairspray?

Or, you could try running fabric softener sheets over it?

Oh I HATE going to Vegas for that very reason...LOL!!! I (L) Vegas, but hate the static cling. I experience that at my parent's townhouse. Might a humidifier in the house work?!?

I'd rub some dryer sheets on it. I have a pair of pants that are very staticy so i stuff a dry sheet in the waist band. no more static

maybe try Febreeze spray...I use that sometimes to help with the static.
