Hello,
I am hoping to get more information out into military communities about a group I belong to called the Patriot Guard Riders. It is a motorcycle association, but you do not have to have a bike or ride one to participate. The main mission of the Patriot Guard is to attend the funeral services of the fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives.
1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
2. Shield the mourning family and friends from interruptions created by any protestors or group of protestors.
We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.
We are also involved with Help On The Homefront providing our services where ever needed. The PGR is not exclusive to Washington state we are all over the continental United States. The PGR group is not an Army thing or Navy thing we are a service member thing. If you would like to know more please visit the link provided below. If you have questions or would like to talk specificly to me please feel free to contact me.

Hi there, I'm actually a member over there, though I have not posted in a while. I'd like to move this post from the NorthWest section over to the Military Advocacy forum, as I believe your mission falls very much under that category. I hope you don't mind. We sincerely appreciate what you do :hugs

Ladies I can attest to this being a wonderful group of people. This group was present for Josh's funeral. They stood outside the funeral home during the viewing all holding American flags. Then all jumped on their bikes and lead the funeral procession to the national cemetary in Irving. I knew it was something that Josh would of loved. If I can get the pictures from my dad I will post them.
