I am hoping to buy two kittens sometime soon. :bliss

If anyone in the San Diego area (preferably north county) knows anyone who has kittens they are giving away or selling please let me know. I am having a hard time finding any. I've already asked all the local shelters, etc. and they dont have any.

I am not looking for any fancy purebreds or anything, just regular domestic cats.

Thanks!!! :mrgreen

try petfinder.com - a great way to find a new pet in need of a home :-)
If it weren't for the distance I'd have a heck of a deal for you - our most recent foster had a litter of 3 a week ago. In another 7-9 weeks I'll be hoping to find someone like you only a bit closer, lol.

Definitely try petfinder and I also see sooooooooooooooooooooooo many kittens on craigslist. So, you may want to try there if you don't have luck on petfinder.com

Thanks for the suggestions ladies!

I already tried Craigslist and no luck. I tried petfinder too but all I can find are purebreeds or cats that are older than what I would like. I am hoping to find kittens in the 8-12 week range.

It's funny. I always see signs up around town for free kittens or kittens $10, etc. but now that I am looking I cant find them anywhere.

I have been told that there are usually TONS available in the late spring/ early summer but I really didnt want to wait that long to get them.

I just went to pet finders and there are tons of kittens listed-- I put the zip for El Cajon cuz it was the only one I could remember..

I also went to the SD union and there were a few listed there as well..

and remember just because the ad has expired does not mean they have gotten rid of all thier cats or pets- so even if it is a month old call anyway.

That is weird, I am not seeing any listed on those places. I have seen a few, but they are all 4 months plus and I am looking for young kittens in the 8-12 week range. I don't want an older cat. I want a young kitten so I can litter train it and everything myself.

Kaymara, I have had tons of people email me with older cats they are giving away. I can email them to you if you want. In fact, someone just emailed me a pic of a beautiful siamese cat today that is 6 months old. They need to get rid of it because they arent allowed to have pets and the landlord found out about it. It is really pretty. I was really tempted to take it but I really just want to get kittens. PM me if you want me to send you the links.

Also, El Cajon and San Diego are a bit far from me (about an hour drive)...although if I needed to I would travel.
