This is more of a rant, so please excuse my venting! . We had a set date for shipout and everything. Then all of the sudden, they extend them. It's not for very long, but it feels like eternity. :vent Anyone else? I guess for me I am somewhat used to being let down but this happened with DH first deployment too. Now, we have kids so it makes it so much harder! I am a stay at home mom so all I have is time (after the kids go to bed) to sit around and think. I just wish they would stick to a date, now we dont have a definite date, we have a "floating" date. :duhJust wanted to get it off my chest and anyone else who feels the same way, go ahead! :hehe

I know exactly how you feel that happens all the time with the Army, I have decided I wont get my hopes up until I get the phone call that tells me when and where I need to be, lol. So many people start rumors of dates when the time gets near that I never pay any attention to anything unless it is written is stone so to speak.

I should know better by now, I guess since my sanity is borderline...lol...kidding...I was just wishing it would be done already!

Oh I know exactly how you feel. I was so excited and now I feel let down. Yea its only 2 weeks but that can change. I hate going to bed alone and waking up alone. He didn't even get leave. I know I should feel blessed that he is still coming home sooner than expected and I do. I just wish that sometimes we just didn't know anything about when they will be home, just call me when you get here.

I feel the same way! I am grateful that they are due in sooner and I know it will be here soon, just not soon enough! It is nice to know when they will be home, but only if it is for sure!
