When your DH, child or pet is sleeping... just watch them to make sure they are still breathing?

Sounds kinda silly sometimes, but especially with my dogs when they are laying really really still... I find myself watching them to make sure that they are still breathing! But I do it with DH too in the mornings if I wake up before him.

Sometimes I think I'm a little paranoid. lol

When Munchkin was brand new, I would watch her to make sure she was still breathing. She was so little and new and I'd never really been that close to an infant (other than my little brother but I was 3.5 so that doesn't really count). Besides being a little paranoid, I was enraptured so I watched her a LOT.

I still go in and check on her every night before I go to bed. I'm so glad she's a sound sleeper b/c I'll mess with her hair or pat her face... LOL I'm a sap. (it's the only time she's quiet!)

Yes. I do it with DF sometimes, usually after I have a bad dream. And with Eddie D Dawg, I do, cause he's older than Jesus.

db won't sleep facing me for that reason. so sometimes if i wake up before him or in the middle of the night i will watch him, not because i'm scared, just cause he's so cute when he sleeps! i work at a daycare though, and when im in the nursery i'm always checking to see if the babies are still breathing!

My little puppy though I do, when he sleeps he hardly moves it's hard to tell he's breathing. My pit bull snores though so I know he's alive :)
