My name is Ashley, I am 20 and from Texas. My SO (boyfriend) is currently in month 8 of deployment, serving in Iraq. We have been together since RIGHT before his orders started...I have seen him for a total of 3 weeks in our relationship.
I am a member on another forum and started to look for a new one after some recent events on the other. To say the least quite a few people on it lack a common decensy to see that support means support...not attack. On a debate post made by a user I was attacked twice, as well as numerous others, and aparently don't have an SO in Iraq since he is able and does call me each and every day (according to some people):tsktsk. To say the least I was hurt by those things and came looking for a new group...and from those experiences am more than a little nervous to put myself out there again.
I have looked around a bit and like what I see here. Nothing negative, all positive support to one another.
