So DH is welllll Down:neutral Not really depressed but just over it :whatever And I don't blame him :dunno He is very VERY isolated as far as contact with others. There is 5 of them that are together day in and day out and thats it. He cant even pee :shock alone... needless to say he is just ready to come home. I am looking for a pick me up for him. I am usually so creative :lol but for some reason nothing is coming to me! I feel I have done it all :irked Any thoughts ladies? Thank You (L)

I sent db a photo album, entitled can't wait...I took pictures of myself doing stupid day to day stuff...like my head poking out of the shower...me eating, me walking the dog...i took like 30 pictures and put them in an album with a little caption next to each I can't wait for this...I can't wait for that...blah blah...kinda cheesey....but whatever it made him smile

I sent him a towel with my perfume allllll over it! he liked that a lot...

can he watch movies? maybe send him a funny movie...

I know you are prolly not into sewing ~~if you are ;you can sew him a blanket and put the pics on it . but if not you can do this:
buy him a cotton blanket (lap size) & then in the sewing section they have fabric sheets of paper you can print pics on and then you can either sew them on the blanket (or pillow case is another idea) or they also have the iron on. I made alot of these for family and they love them. it is a nice thing he can sleep with at night and look at whenever. I am going to make DH one also:)

hmmm maybe send him a "favorites" box..with one of everything of all his favorite things. I did tihs for the first package i sent. like his fav candy, his fav soda they dont have there, a little mini-version of his car, his favorite snacks, a book about his hobby...etc. it can bring a little of home to him

Make him a picture collage :) of you and him and tell him that it will be better when yall are back together :)

there is a book called "what i love about you" by k marshall.. you get to fill in amazing things about your SO and small memories.. it is just adorable, and a great way to make them smile :) i think that you can order it on amazon, and i know that barnes and noble has it on the shelf because of valentines day.. hope it helps!!

Along the lines of the blanket idea, I bought a blanket and got it embroidered with our names, anniversary, and a quote. Then I sprayed it with my perfume. Also, if you do the perfume thing be sure to put it in a plastic bag so the smell is still there when he gets it.

I made DB and iron-on transfer pillow case with all these pics of places we had been and places we will go and things we want to get etc...he hung it on the wall I think it was one of his favorite gifts. Does he have internet? I am sending DB one song everyday til he gets home (videoon youtube actually) and then I iwll make a CD for him to take back with all the song. I also picked up a calendar for '08 I iwll tear out all the pages except those he has lefty and write a message on each day until he will be back home. Could you make him a movie or powerpoint of a future vacation that you might take with him. You could design it and have day by day itineraries with pics from the internet and messages from you about all the things you will do there.....like a week with me in Tuscany or Hawaii....virtual get away...might help him escape Good luck!!

ive slept on a pillowcase for a few days then put it back in teh packaging it came in and sent it to him so it smelled like me.

Im usually good at random gifts too to pick him up but right now, cant think of too many.

I have done the picture album thing, I also did a sheet for his bed with iron on pictures of us and the kids. His favorite thing was at Christmas I got him a lump of coal in a "You've been naughty" bag (gag gift) and inside i had bought a new sexy thong that he opened in front of his roomie. He loves it and cant wait to see it on me!!! Oh yeah, lol I will have to wash them before I wear them because I sprayed my perfume on them!

if you have lots of pictures on your computer, or a webcam - make him a video - or a slideshow with a song that means a lot to you, or just one you love -- if you need help doing it, let me know! my boy loved getting the videos of me just talking into the camera..
