we were talking and he said " i will not allow feather pillows in our house " and i said " thats mean what if our guests or kids want one"

him" ok then they can buy it but i will not buy one for our kids they are evil"

him: yeah they are bad, the dumb feathers get out and the are hard to clean up.

me : but cigarettes are bad for your health, they are hazardous for the house in general and deprecate the value in general.

him: no they dont

me: yes they do the smoke gets stuck to the walls and makes them an ugly yellow. for just one instance...

him: you could have painted them that color.

me : you wouldnt do that though ... because where ever you have pictures wouldnt be yellow, and its sticky not smooth like paint.

him: they can be dangerous depending where you place them. just like a jacket over a lamp.

me: okay i give you that but we can more easily choose and control where our pillows are than a cigarette...because cigarettes can get knocked over on to something and catch fire where as if a pillow falls over it won't catch fire ....unless it falls into a oven or fire.

him: all you really need is heat and fuel and oxygen for a fire to burn ... the pillow can be the fuel and you have oxygen there so you never know.

me: what are the chances that a pillow falls off the bed and ignites ?

him: i dont know.

me: pillows arent as dangerous to peoples' health ether.

him: they can only suffercate someone(being sarcastic)

me: only if your not wacthing a baby or you are trying to kill someone... and we will watch our kids well enough and i dont think i'll try to murder you or vise versa.

Id rather have cigarettes in my house. I am HIGHLY I mean HIGHLY allergic to feathers!!! Cigarettes you dont have to light and can put them away.

:screwy must be his lack of sleep lol but his main reasons were
1- they are a pain to clean up if the feathers come out
2- they poke you when your trying to sleep
3- they can murder you:screwy
4- they are too fluffy
5- you can be deathly allergic to them so there fore they can depreciate your house for the people allergic to them and trying to buy it

Yes feather pillows are exceedingly dangerous. The feathers stab your ear drums while you are sleeping and you wake up deaf with a bloody feather pillow :D

well, we have both in our house. the cigarettes are out of the kids' reach and are only smoked outside. the 9 down pillows that are all over my couches SUCK. the feathers poke out stabbing you or getting stuck to your clothes. if you sit down too hard they fly out. i have feathers EVERYWHERE no matter how often i sweep so i can see a hatred of feather pillows (even though they're super comfy when you're not being stabbed lol).

now, if the cigarettes were being smoked in the house then i'd go with that lol.
