Today I saw a bumper sticker that said 'I ride with Forrest' right next to a Confederate flag. Is it just me or does that have racist connotations? It made me think of the scene in Forrest Gump where he explains how he got his name (Nathan Bedford Forrest, Confederate general and alleged founder of the Ku Klux Klan).

Probably. Either that or ignorance to who Forrest was named after :dunno

on Ft Bliss they had Forrest Gate Road, they changed the name to Cassidy because the negative connotations that Forrest had.

I'm not really sure without knowing the owner and what his sticker is in reference of really.... I would hope he doesn't mean ill by it but yeah... never know these days.
