Ok, here's the deal... there is this person, and they have posted something on a very public website that they should not have posted. I KNOW it is a violation of OPSEC... and I want to say something, but I dont know how to say it tactfully and without upsetting her as I know its just because she is excited and probably forgot... HOW SHOULD I TELL HER TO CHANGE IT? Help!

Is it Myspace or a message board?!?

Do you know the person?!?

I would just say "What you have posted(be specific) is a violation of OPSEC. I'm not trying to be an OPSEC nazi, but I'd just like for you to know so you can keep your man and his unit safe! :)"

Its myspace.

I know her very well... we've known eachother since school.

Well since you know her VERY well, she shouldn't be offended that you're looking out for the well-being of the troops...

DEFINITELY tell her that (insert specific violation here) violates OPSEC. I know you are excited but we still need to work at keeping our men safe!

if she is a friend, i cant imagine she would be offended.. you are just trying to look out for her loved ones (as well as your own)

If you know her, it's not wrong to politely tell her its a violation of opsec. She should understand if she wants to keep all our men safe.
