:confusedOkay this is our first deployment on a ship. Hubby is usually on land. SO I really dont know what to look forward to. He is in the Tarawa and has been gone for three months but it's still new to me. I dont know about anything like his pay or when he not tax free or when he is.

My DH is on the Hue City and has also been gone 3 months. His pay should be tax free as long as he's in a war zone. My understanding is that even if they're in a war zone for one day of a month then the entire month is tax free. This is our 2nd deployment together but he's been deployed several times before we got together.
