So how true is the thought that your baby will be born a similiar weight to you and your man? If its true, I am scared to death. i was 8 lbs and jason was nearly 10. i really hope its not true

not true...I was 6lbs even...DS's bio was 12 POUNDS when he was born....we were both born a month early...DS was born a month early and he was 7lb 14oz

DH & I were both around 7 pounds born, DD was 9 pounds 2.2 ounces :)

nope she wasnt...I know and his older brother was born 13lbs!!!

my mom who was a labor and delivery nurse said it is usually the average of you and your husbands weight but not always true, I was 4 lbs 13 oz and my husband was almost 10 lbs and my DD was 6 lbs 14 oz. I was 2 months early and was a twin so that is why I was so small

i dont think its true. i was 4lbs, DS's bio dad was 5lbs, and DS was 7 lbs.... we were all "on time".

I was 7.5 lb 2 days late, DH was 5.4 lb 2 weeks late and DS was 6.13 2 1/2 weeks early

I keep telling DH he better make sure that we have a small baby when we start trying. I was 6lbs something and I was little. He was like 10lbs....I don't wanna have a huge baby. *ouch* :scared

I don't know... I was 6lbs at birth and my ex husband was over 11. My oldest son was born at 6lbs 7ozs.

John and I were both over 7lbs. I can't remember exactly how much he weighed but I know I was 7.5lbs. and that was more than he weighed.

Our kids ranged from 6lbs. 7ozs. to 6lbs. 10ozs. All 3 were past their due date (I was, too, by almost exactly 2 weeks). My biggest baby was 8 days past and my other 2 were 3 days past.

I agree, not necessarily true. I was almost 9lbs, and dh was over 9lbs, and my dd was 7 1/2lbs. Of course, ds was 9lbs, but he was my 2nd(which tend to be bigger) and a boy(also more likely to be bigger).

I've always heard that your 1st baby is your lighest and as you go up it gets heavier and closer to the average

My Dr. told me that normally the babies will be around the size of my mother babies. For me that was dead on. I was 9lbs 5 ozs and my brother was 9 lbs 10 ozs. My oldest son was 10 lbs 5 ozs, my youngest son was 8 lbs 10 ozs (a month early), and the twins were 6lbs 15 ozs and 8 lbs 11 ozs (they were a month early also).

I dont have newborns...they come out toddlers. :giggle

I was 6 lbs 15 oz and DH was 6lbs like 13 oz or something and DS was 7 lbs 6.9 oz.

I was almost 8 lbs and my exDH was right at 7 and Jerron was 6lbs 14ozs 3 weeks early.
DH was over 8lbs 2 weeks early so I have a feeling this may be a big baby if its a boy :giggle But, really you can't ever tell. With my Mother in law, both her boys were 8 pounders and both her girls were 6 pounders.

I and DH were over 8lbs. Ethan was a whopping 6lbs 10.7oz when born at 39 wks. THANK GAWD for a small head!!!! :hehe

I WAS ALMOST 9 LBS AND SO WAS MY HUBBY. MY DAUGHTER WAS 8LBS 6OUNCES-19 1/2 INCHES LONG AND MY SON WAS 8LBS AND 21 1/2 INCHES LONG.

I think that's just an old wives tale.

And DH and I were both 8 lb babies but DD was 10 lbs 11 oz!
