Ok so I lost ds's asthma vent guard thing ( well technically just misplaced) the Dr. gave me the scrip for a new one, but the lady at CVS said that tricare won't cover it because it' not medication but a device. Now I hate hate hate ( did i mention i hate) looking up info on the tricare website, so can someone please help me. Can I get another vent for him without paying out of pocket/driving forever to an MTF or do I have to suck it up and pay the 42 bucks for the damn thing. TIA

is it an inhaler spacer? if that is what it is you only have to pay $9. that is the only thing that I can find on the tricare site about anything to do with asthma.

yup it's the tube with the mask on the end. :suspect the pharmacist told me it was going to cost 42 bucks. maybe I will call tricare and ask.

When tricare gives me an rx for a device or something OTC like sudafed, I HAVE to fill it at a military pharmacy. Tricare won't cover it anywhere else.
