you can go to www.rockthevote.com and they will have the sheet you need to fill out to change your voting area

It can be pretty confusing registering to vote anywhere. I found a link for you, hopefully it helps :)

Yes, you can register to vote in VA via Absentee Ballot. You have to request one from VA.

hmmmm? i'm not a california resident. if I go to DMV and get a Cali license will that change my status?

I'm registered and they sent me my card but since I'm divorced they sent it under my old last name...so i called the county and they told me to correct it and send it back to them and they'll fix it...but I am registered...voting for Clinton!!!

I am register to vote in a different city here in FL and so is dh. How do we do to change that? I thought you would just have to change your DL but I guess not. I really don't want to have to drive all the way to that other city on elections day :nutts

Nope. Don't care about Canadian elections, and dunno about American ones either. I'm considering registering at some point this year, but I don't know that I want to. For lots of personal reasons.

I am registered or at least was but I just got a letter from the DMV (voter people) saying that they needed me to show proof that I was a US citizen in order for my voter registration to be good at my new address so I am in the middle of dealing with that

Do you have a military ID? Cause if you do, they will let you vote, regardless. Thats how I signed up here in Wa last week!

You could still vote, i think. Can't you choose your party at the polling place? I know my friend is registered independent and she was able to vote in GA primaries.

you should definitely vote in elections other than presidential as well though!
state, local and congressional elections all occur during midterm years. It is important to exercise your right each time you are afforded the opportunity :D

in ohio i don't think you can, they told me last time i went and voted that i could only vote on the issues bc i'm registered independent. (there were some local primaries being voted on at the same time)

Heck yes I am! The first election I got to vote in was the 1992 Presidential election right after I turned 18 (I voted for Clinton) and I've voted in every major election since.
