Thoughts?
I thought the beginning of the episode was rather dull, but by the end I was back to my old "WHAT!??!?! NO WAY!!! HUH!?!?" LOST viewing self.
I really liked seeing the "stories" of the "rescuer" people since it showed what the real world was seeing when Oceanic 815 disappeared. Really cool.
So why do you think the "rescuers" are there for Ben? How did Ben know about it/them? Why did they pick those particular people for the mission? Who is this leader guy? He's the same one that went to see Hurley at the mental ward in the flash forwards in the last episode, and now he's in charge of the "rescuers"? Who is he and what does he want?
Who was the lady who called the ghost-talker-guy (one of the "rescuers") to her house? When it showed the pictures on the wall, I thought it was Mr. Eko's and his brother's Grandma, but my DH said it was juts a random person.....Mr. Eko's brother was murdered though....so it would make sense? What did you guys think?
Any other thoughts?
Steph* 02-08-2008, 03:36 PM I thought it was a GREAT episode. Again, you're always left going "WAIT -- WHAT?!?!" :lol
I thought the same thing about it being Eko's brother. At first when the guy started up his little machine, my DH & I were like "what is this ghostbusters?!"
I hate that we have to wait a week in between shows! I want to know what happens next! :sigh

I really do think it was Eko's brother :yes It's unlike LOST to NOT have weird connections like that.
Haha. Ghostbusters :P It sure seemed like it! Strange. Wonder if the guy will try to ghostbuster Jacob......:suspect
Gosh the episode ended so abruptly too! Just when it was getting REALLY good, BANG. It's over! I need more.
LoveMyHalos 02-08-2008, 06:37 PM I just looked up LOST easter eggs and there was one that said that one of the pictures actually looked a lot like Eko as a kid.

That's the website I checked. It's like 1/3 of the way down.
I didn't notice that myself last night, but I was wondering if there was something about the lady/house/ghost, and now it seems like there is.
What I want to know is how the polar bear bones and the Dharma Initiative Hydra station thing got to Tunisia!!!
sunshyne 02-08-2008, 06:54 PM I don't know or have answers to any of those questions, but man I just love this show more and more! It should be like a daily soap opera and be on Monday thru Friday :lol

I almost forgot about that! I actually turned to DH and said (really loudly) "HOW DID THE DHARMA POLAR BEAR GET THERE?!?!?!?! WHAAAAT?" Maybe all polar bears that are killed on the island somehow magically appear in Tunisia.....:lol

The beginning was dull, but who in the h e double hockey sticks put all the pieces of the plan in the bottom of the ocean? The "team" has me extremley confused. I'll be interested in seeing how all this pans out. Same with the reason that they are there for Ben and how Ben knows about it.
I too think that the old woman was just a random lady, to show us the background on Miles.
Also, I SWEAR I think that Jacob is Jack's Dad. I re-watched the 1st episode of the season and that flash they show as Hurley is looking into the shack has me convinced that that is is Dad. ??????????
I'm officially addicted. So much so I forgot all about Grey's the past two weeks, I'll have to check online if there were new episodes.

When Ben was telling Locke all the "rescuers" Names and crap at the end he said he had a guy on thier the "rescuers" boat. This is getting so crazy I think when the season comes out I am going to have to watch it again.
As far as the Mr. Eko thing his brother died. I don't think it was his brother or grand mother. I think it is going to have some kind of wierd loop to a new character.

Ohhh yeah! I forgot about him saying that! :duh I was too caught up with all the other questions and craziness going on!
If you want to rewatch any episodes from this season (or any other season), they are all online and free to watch at abc.com :)
wb3690 02-10-2008, 02:10 PM I'm starting to think there is some kind of time travel involved..........there are other things I have read that make me think this could be true, but who knows......I'm sure whatever I have thought about is totally wrong.
I just hope when this show ends in what 4 years that they will answer all my questions
