LETS SEE IF i EXPLAIN THIS CORRECTLY. BEFORE THE JANUARY PAY WENT UP MY HUSBANDS CHECKS WERE $1001.00. HE HIT 6 YEARS OF SERVICE ON JANUARY 28TH, SO SHOULDNT HEY GET THE PAY RAISE FOR OVER 6 YEARS OF SERVICE? THE PAY RAISE SHOULD OF BEEN $236 A MONTH BUT IF YOU DIVIDE IT INTO TWO IT COMES OUT TO $118 EXTRA A CHECK. BUT I CHECKED HIS NEW LES AND IT SAYS HIS NEXT CHECK IS $1069. IT JUST DOESNT SEEM RIGHT UNLESSS HE IS JUST GETTING THE PAY FOR OVER 4 YEARS OF SERVICE. :confused BUT HIS EOM LES FOR JANUARY SAID 6 YRS OF SERVICE. I DONT KNOW AND ITS HARD TO SEE WITHOUT THE FULL LES STATEMENT:vent SO SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THIS MORE THAN ME PLEASE HELP!!!

please don't use all caps-- on a message board it sifnifies "yelling"
and the raise for 6 yrs is not very much.
if you go to www.military.com you can find the pay scale for basic pay- and remember more money means more taxes taken out.
the 6 yr pay raise is only for base pay-- nothing else.

I did go to the paycharts but I didn't think they would take out that much taxes. I guess I will see when the EOM LES is up. Sorry about the all caps..its a bad habit.:wowsers

taxes can hurt when the raises are that small.

If his 6 year mark is Jan 28th, you should see the increase in February's mid month check I think. Bear in mind it will be different still because of the retroactive .5% we're getting backdated to Jan 1st. So the amount you'll get in Feb will be fractionally higher (just a few bucks) higher than you'll get in March.

I will just have to see once March's LES comes in. I hate trying to read the LES, i'm still trying to figure everything out on it.Thanks:tu
