Hi all! My name is Anna, I am 22 and from New Jersey. My boyfriend is an army pilot and he is being deployed to Kuwait very soon. Currently, he is being sent all over the country for various kinds of training. It is already extremely hard to deal with him not being around and his deployment has not even officially started yet! We have only been together for about six months so all of the military stuff is VERY new to me. I look forward to talking to everyone and giving my support!

Welcome! It is not as hard as you think it is going to be. COMMUNICATION is the biggest thing. Buy calling cards, talk everyday if you can. My husband and I were only dating for 4 months before he left to Iraq in the beginning of 2003. For 3 years he went all over the place and I saw him on ocasions. We talked everyday and emailed and I wrote him love letters. Now, we are married and have two beautiful children. It works, I promise. Keep your head up and NEVER fight on the phone...My best advice I can give you...Good luck and take care!
