please note, all of these questions are generic and will be asked for all locations so some may sound silly. The questions underneath each area are only there to help you think. Please feel free to skip things that don't apply or to elaborate on things that I did not mention.

Housing:
(How is military housing there? Which area did you live in and did you like it? Is it affordable to buy or rent in town and if so what areas would you recommend? Any additional thoughts?)

Schools:
(Which schools did your kids attend? Did you like them? Did your kids like them? How do you think the school system was overall? Any schools you would recommend over others? Did you go to college while you were there? If so, which college and how did you like it? Any additional thoughts?)

Shopping:
(How are the commissary and NEX? Do you shop there or out in town? What stores are available out in town? What is the local shopping like? Malls? Any places you recommend? Any additional thoughts?)

Cost of living:
(What is the cost of living like? High? Average? Low? How did it effect your family? Was there anything special you had to do to make ends meet? Any additional thoughts?)

Military Community:
(How is the military community? Are there resources for family and spouses? Any likes or gripes? Additional thoughts?)

Recreation:
(What is there to do in the area for adults? For kids/families? Is there anything within a few hours driving distance?)

Weather:
(What's the weather like? Mild? Seasonal? Hot? Humid? Rainy? Cold? Are there seasons?)

Overall:
(Would you go back again? Why or why not? What are your main likes and gripes?)

Housing:
(How is military housing there? well the only one i know of is at windy shores and they are nice from what i could tell. Which area did you live in and did you like it? we chose to live in Portland because it was between Corpus Christi and Ingleside. Is it affordable to buy or rent in town and if so what areas would you recommend? Well I would recommend people living in Corpus itself if they are stationed at Corpus base and if they like living in a more city type area. Portland is nice and thats where we live at and its alot bigger than Ingleside and Aransas Pass but not as busy as Corpus and less traffic. Aransas Pass and Ingleside are smaller areas and they fairly decent houses and affordable at that as well. Any additional thoughts?)

Schools:
(Which schools did your kids attend? we only have a 3 1/2 yr old and he just goes to daycare, but from what i hear the schools are fairly nice. Did you like them? Did your kids like them? How do you think the school system was overall? Any schools you would recommend over others? Did you go to college while you were there? If so, which college and how did you like it? Any additional thoughts?)

Shopping:
(How are the commissary and NEX? They suck LOL. truly they are alot smaller than some and there is only one commissary and thats in Corpus base and if you live in Aransas Pass, Ingleside or Portland you have to drive all the way to Corpus to get there. Do you shop there or out in town? We basically go to Wal-mart or HEB stores. What stores are available out in town? What is the local shopping like? there are alot of strip malls Malls? Only 2 major malls that I personally am aware of here. Any places you recommend? Any additional thoughts?)

Cost of living:
(What is the cost of living like? i do know that the sales tax is to high. 8.25% not sure what else to say on this. High? Average? Low? How did it effect your family? Was there anything special you had to do to make ends meet? Any additional thoughts?) job market can suck big time down here depending on what you are looking for.

Military Community:
(How is the military community? i dont get to involved with that but i believe its okay. Are there resources for family and spouses? some Any likes or gripes? Additional thoughts?)

Recreation:
(What is there to do in the area for adults? For kids/families? well there are a few parks and we have the Texas State Aquarium and there is the USS Lexington and im sure there are other places but thats all i know about for now. Is there anything within a few hours driving distance?) yes there is san antonio and they have lots of things to do for families. Six Flags, SeaWorld. Schlitterbalm. there might be more that someone else can mention too.

Weather:
(What's the weather like? Mild? Seasonal? Hot? Humid? Rainy? Cold? Are there seasons?) Hot and Windy most days with some cooler days and some Rain. never really gets to cold here or snows so if you love hot weather then come on down.

Overall:
(Would you go back again? Why or why not? What are your main likes and gripes?) yes and no. while i like living here there are some things you cannot get here that you can get in other states. i like being in the middle of the country so if we wanted to travel to either coast for a vacation we could.
