I know that this is silly to some, but I don't post much because I feel like my advice is stupid and I don't want others to think that about me.

I'm dealing with a deployment and for me it feels like it's taking forever.

Over two weeks and I know that's not really that long but it feels like an eternity when that's my best friend and I go from talking to him every day to only talking to him every two to three weeks, it just really sucks.

Thanks. DB thinks he's a pirate. I even gave him a pirate name. Cap'n Argus Leadhead. He has been on a ship for two weeks so he is looking up places he can hunt for treasure. He is really bored. He said that there are two things he wants to do right now, marry me and find treasure. He gets mad when I make fun of his treasure hunting.

DB's favorites: The Notebook, 50 first dates, and recently he said that I need to watch Love Actually. He was watching romantic comedys while he was in Japan and said that it probably wasn't a good idea because he misses me more.

We have been together for a little over 5 months. Its not a long time, but I am closer to him then the guy I dated for 7 1/2 years. We spent every second that we could together before he left. He is the sweetest guy ever! He can't keep secrets/surprises from me. He has been talking to a jeweler and is putting money down on an engagement ring! Yeah!

Well, DB says he wants to marry me one day, but he wants to have a stable job and income. (he is reserves right now and is working 2 jobs till we move to TX in the fall.)

However he doesn't like to talk about WHEN this might be happening. He doesn't want to discuss a time frame for when we will get married or engaged.

Funny thing is, if I stop talking about it all together he brings it up. He likes to say things like... "our wedding colors should be"... or "we should have this as our first song at our wedding".

That's cute. I understand the whole "stable" thing. I never wanted to get married until I was out of college. Now, I don't want to have kids until he gets a stable job. I'm ready to get married. At least he's talking about it. My ex never wanted to talk about it and we were dating for 7 1/2 years.

I don't understand why religion is so big to some people. My cousin was dating a seventh day adventest and shes christian and now they aren't together because she wouldn't convert. They believe in the same God, who cares if you love him. She's stupid. Anyway, back to you...I have no advice. I haven't dated anyone where religion is a problem.

I know, but they don't make alot of money. He wants to know how much I think he should spend. I don't know how much diamonds cost, I know that they are a lot.

Yeah, I know they can cost quite a bit depending on how big they are and the cut and all that. Hmmm, thats a tough on him asking how much he should spend on it. I'd personally rather have something I really like that might be pretty inexpensive than something that cost a LOT but I wouldn't want to wear. Good luck!
