Man, I wish I could see some photos from my SO on his deployment. He just left port and didn't use his camera the whole time. Oh well. :duh

When I became aware of the ship's port location, I actually ended up researching this city on-line, and then I sent him pictures of the hot tourist spots there so he wouldn't miss seeing anything.

Hmmm, it seems things are a little backward. (smile)

I guess I'll live vicariously through this thread, and the photos of deployments posted on YouTube.

lol! Yeah he lost his camera last time they were in Dubai and I was like "nooooo!" But thankfully someone found it on the ground in port and brought it on the ship! Yay for pics! Now why wouldn't he use his camera?? Men!

My SO has his camera, but takes very few pics....he is in Iraq and so when he is at work he can't (well isn't supposed to) take pics. Granted when he was here on R&R I got a glimpse of his camera and he took some all around. But the disposable ones I sent he has yet to use....dumb men! I send pics and yet he doesn't sent me any back! Grrr...they are so spoiled!

you aren't supposed to post any pictures of them with equipment, or with name tapes (for privacy reasons), or anything that is distinguishable in the background. That is what I've always been taught. When we had our briefing before the guys left, we were instructed not to send any photos via the internet though just to be safe.

DB just sent me some pics this weekend. I have to edit them for their protection, then I may post. I am starting a Deployment scrapbook for him. I'm excited!
