Does anyone know where to get good phonecards? It seems like the ones I sent him are crap. I pay for a 500min phonecard and he doesn't even get half of those minutes over in Iraq! :grumpy For the past deployments I used to buy them at the postoffice, but they don't sell phonecards anymore.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

The best deals and most used one is AT&T and you can can it at Walmart and Sam's Club are the cheapest. Some phones in Iraq now do not use phone cards and the guys purchase minutes throught the internet using a pin code. I didnt know that at first. He kinda forgot to mention that to me, so i wasted money getting one...Just check first!

I don't know about Iraq but in Kuwait you only get around 45 minutes talk time for a 500 minute ATT card.

If he has acess to spawar phones (http://www.oif.spawareurope.net/), they have great rates. If not, then I suggest www.noblecomm.com for cards. Also, I know not a lot of guys are aware that they are allowed to make phone calls once a month via a DSN line called "morale calls", they are limited to 10min a call, but are free of charge. Also, I am not sure the nature of your man's job in Iraq, but my husband has a DSN line available to him all the time, so he just uses the calling card through the DSN line and it really stretches the time. HTH.
