Well, I'm dialated 2cm - she stripped my membranes (not exactly a pleasant experience I must say). That was nearly 7 hours ago and not a single contraction, so I'm guessing it did no good.

If I haven't gone into labor by Saturday, I'm going in to be induced that day :yahoo

Sooooooo...come hell or high water, we will have a baby I'd say no later than Sunday :yahoo

I have to agree that was not a fun experience at all! I swear it was my doctors way of punishing me for complaining to much about not having had the baby yet!

I am wishing for you to into labor! Good Luck!

That is so exciting remember that walking facilitates labor so stay active as much as tolerated. and keep your pelvis open as much as possible it facilitates the baby coming down and makes it easier to push later on. Good luck keep us updated!!!

DD and I went to Pike's market this afternoon after my appointment. We picked up some clams and steelhead salmon for dinner. It was to die for. :D Speaking of walking :giggle

I had to have my membranes stripped twice before it worked :lol But I hope labor starts naturally and you don't have to be induced!

How long did it take you to go into labor?

The nurse in my doctor's office said she had to have her's stripped 3 different times with her second child. She said she left the office the 3rd time and went straight to the hospital :rofl

Normally, if your membranes are stripped...if it's going to do anything it will be within 72 hours.

I had mine done with 3 of my pregnancies, several times, ouch!!

But it definitely helped things along, but I wouldn't say it started labor.
