Is this normal?
I know that I have a pretty high Heartrate anyways and it would get to 120 resting when I was pregnant before. All day I have felt like there is butterflies in my throat and my chest is beating away. Is that normal? I also have been getting really out of breath. I was at Walmart earlier and was breathing like a ran a marathon before I got to the milk isle. :dunno

I had the same problem with my last pregnancy. I told my dr because it was freaking me out how fast my heart would race sometimes. She did a bunch of tests and said everything was fine and it was just something that happens as your body grows during pregnancy. I would tell your dr at your next appointment just to be sure everything is ok.

Have you had a lot of sugar or caffine? :dunno That's the only time I get like that... and if I stop and drink a lot of water it levels out... I always have been like that with the sugar and caffine, even befor pregnancy

I would call your doctor and talk to them if it doesn't feel normal, or if it worries you :)

DH said my heart rate was ok... only about 96 so I don't know. I just feel weird. The fluttery feeling won't go away and thats when I feel the heart race

It was normal for me, especially in the beginning. I guess I still have it sometimes, but I noticed it more in the beginning because I didn't really know it was normal until I googled it....plus, I am more used to it now so I don't notice as much.

No caffeine or sugar... I just don't get it. I hope it goes away soon.

Ok... I just looked up in my medical books and it says that some pregnant women might feel that way because your body is pumping almost double the blood... so your heart might actually not be fast, but just appear that way to you because you can FEEL the blood pumping, where as normally you wouldn't have really felt it... :dunno

I can almost guarantee you're dehydrated. That's how I felt when I was in the ER and they told me I was dehydrated.

I get a racing heart a lot while I'm pregnant, it started this week in fact :depressed. My blood pressure gets really low, but my heart races and I get dizzy and sweaty. It's happened every pregnancy and the docs have never been able to tell me why.

I remember that...I heard it is because of the increased blood flow

I have been having that too, for some reason its worse when I'm upstairs. I was laying down in bed last night and all of the sudden it happened. :( Make sure you drink a lot of water and take it easy.

I have had that happen and I would also get flushed in the face and feel really hot.
My doctor told me that it was my hormones out of balance.

Hope you feel better :hugs
