I am new here. I have done alot of searching for a site to belong too. My bf is in the army and this is his 3rd deployment and my 1st. I am just looking for a place to belong. I seem to have trouble with the wives in his unit, they see me as just a girlfriend. Because i am not his wife i am not as important and that hurts. I miss him and i dont' have anyone to help me. I don't know if what i am feeling is normal or not. :no I have a mixture of anger, sad, happy, i just can't seem to find a common place. I stopped crying but when he calls it's so hard to hold it in. Or even worse when i miss a call. I just want to be around some people who understand and respect the fact that i am not a wife but i am not going anywhere.

HI!!! Welcome to SOS!!! You will fit in here we have a lot of Girlfriends and fieonces (don't kill me I know I can't spell) wives and others :) Everyone fits in!! Deployments are hard but we are here to lend you a shoulder to cry on and a party to celebrate with!

Welcome...go to the tab at the top that says User CP and you can make a signature and put up an avatar and such. We got tickers online I think mine is from the tickerfactory just make sure you stic to OPSEC and don't use specific dates you can count up but not count down on the ticker.

This site has been a wonderful resource for me I have learned so much and just kept sane I'm sure you will find it an amazing place filled with friends!!

ok you have definitely found the right place. this is my first deployment and his um like 4th or 5th i think. i am lucky in that the wives (all 3 of them lol) are pretty cool although sometimes after I hang with them I feel worse, but I have gained allot of incite from them but most of my strength comes from this site and the friends I have made here.

I would just like to say I am not just a girlfriend....I am his girlfriend and he is the love of my life and no one will demean that because we are not married.
