AFBride2B 02-21-2008, 11:20 PM Too soon to say for me. My sister has three kids and zero stretch marks. Damn, I hope I get so lucky. I don't mean to sound vain, but I don't really want 'em! HuskerFan 02-21-2008, 11:59 PM On my stomach, no. On my hips, YES! I put some lotion on my stomach every day and one day i looked in the mirror at myself, saw my hips and went "holy ****!!!" LOL CAmom4721 02-22-2008, 12:01 AM :yes I used creams and stuff too and I still got them. It wasn't until later in the pregnancy when I started to get huge but I got them pretty bad by the end. palemoon21 02-22-2008, 12:04 AM Nope. None. Not a single one, wait....one about the length of a dime on my left side near my rib cage. LOL Really, I was a lucky one and was able to escape the rath of the stretch mark troll. Just use ALOT of lotion(shea butter) on your belly. Shep's Wife 02-22-2008, 12:04 AM I didnt have stretch marks until I got preggo. The ones on my tummy slowly crept upwards with each pregnancy. I'm pretty proud of that but I know everyone is so depressed to get them but honestly every one of my stretch marks is worth having him. They itch and it hurts to scratch them! I lather on expensive stretch mark lotion all day long and the stupid things still itch! :arg MsSchelz 02-22-2008, 12:44 AM I'm pretty proud of that but I know everyone is so depressed to get them but honestly every one of my stretch marks is worth having him. They are part of who you are...db loves my body still and that's the best thing ever :wub :agree I think I've posted this somewhere before. I have two teenage daughters and they have stretch marks just from growth spurts,.....hips.....boobs. Amanda 02-22-2008, 01:08 AM :agree I think I've posted this somewhere before. I have two teenage daughters and they have stretch marks just from growth spurts,.....hips.....boobs. yep love does a lot to the body and glad I found someone who looks beyond the stretch marks. I remember when I was about 30 some weeks pregnant and I was in the bathroom taking a bath getting all "sexy" for db because we were out of town in a hotel so I got on the lingerie after the bath and saw the stretch marks on my hips and boobs in the bad hotel room bathroom light and started :tears and walked out crying and db just laughed at me and asked why I was crying. When I told him he said "baby you look sexy belly and all...don't cry" :lol damn pregnancy hormones :lol Mosley04 02-22-2008, 01:50 AM Yep, and they are still here. I woke up one morning and WHAM, apparently a train came through and I didn't know it.:rolleyes jlbecker 02-22-2008, 07:45 AM :tears I won't be getting preggo anytime soon but I got stretch marks on my boobs when they were developing. that doesn't neccessarily mean you'll get them on your tummy. i have them all over my boobs & never got any on my tummy when preggo. Caimbrie 02-22-2008, 08:02 AM that doesn't neccessarily mean you'll get them on your tummy. i have them all over my boobs & never got any on my tummy when preggo. Did you go full term though? (sorry I don't know your history on that one) I didn't get any stretch marks with my first son until I was around 36-37 weeks. Then they just tore EVERYWHERE on my stomache. Caimbrie 02-22-2008, 08:03 AM :tears I won't be getting preggo anytime soon but I got stretch marks on my boobs when they were developing. Even if you do get them.. it's not the end of the world. wife-n-mommy 02-22-2008, 08:03 AM Well, I hope I'm not jinxing myself here, but while I was pregnant with Kylee I didn't have any... after I had her, I had a couple, my biggest issue was my tummy was all wrinkley, but my little concoction... I will post it again, cleared it all up (stretch marks included)... 1/2 part Revlon anti-aging cream (or anything containing Botafirm), 1/4 part pure cocoa butter, 1/4 part pure vitamin E oil. jlbecker 02-22-2008, 08:05 AM Did you go full term though? (sorry I don't know your history on that one) I didn't get any stretch marks with my first son until I was around 36-37 weeks. Then they just tore EVERYWHERE on my stomache. yes i did (adoption). but i was also fairly young, so i hope next time i am still as lucky ;) it was over 8 years ago. Caimbrie 02-22-2008, 08:06 AM yes i did (adoption). but i was also fairly young, so i hope next time i am still as lucky ;) it was over 8 years ago. Oh ok I gotcha. Lucky :P KimberlyG 02-22-2008, 08:31 AM NOPE! I was sooo relieved at the end! rosebud* 02-22-2008, 08:33 AM stretch marks depend in the elasticity of your skin, if you have good elasticity then your stretch marks could go away or never show up. And Sarah's right no amount of cream will make them go away once they are there. navywifeplus3 02-22-2008, 08:37 AM When I was pregnant with my first baby, I didn't get stretch marks until about 3 weeks before delivery, when he dropped. I had them right at my *bikini line* and I had three perfect lines on both sides of my tummy. It literally looked as thought I had stuck three of my figners on each hand tip to tip at the center of my bikini line and clawed myself outwards. With baby number two, I had all kinds of new stretch marks by week 20 and they were all over my lower abdomen. I also carried her right on the pelvic bone the entire time, so she put some serious stretching on my skin. Baby number three was much gentler to my body, so stretch new marks from her! :) Treysgirl 02-22-2008, 09:04 AM still have em.... :( Me, too. Especially on my thighs. Lckychrmzz 02-22-2008, 10:30 AM I had them waaaaaaaaaaaaay before I got pregnant. I'm sure I will get more. tifflovezyou 02-22-2008, 10:32 AM I have them. They are thin and silvery. I have them really bad on my boobage :depressed I carried sooo low, that I have a big one on my private! kshep 02-22-2008, 10:33 AM Yep but I didn't get them till almost the end and they are still here I have a roadmap on my belly....lol Alexis 02-22-2008, 01:10 PM Yes, I got them bad at 7mths with my son....you have them for life after you get them unless you get a tummy tuck LOL They are geneic, no creams or lotions will prevent them either. Casey 02-22-2008, 08:49 PM Yep.. BAD stretch marks. I spent tons of money on expensive creams and lotions etc. that I covered myself in constantly... I got them anyway. If your genetically predisposed to getting them, you will no matter what you do. 100% agree :yes I have always been sensitive to getting them, so I knew I would get them when I got pregnant. I did what I do with the stretch marks I have always had (use vitamin oil) but still didnt work. I got them all the way up my tummy, but I would have to say they are not very dark at all and never were. They stayed a light pink/white color, not the dark purple color that I have seen on most bellies. So I think the vitamin oil helped as far as that went, but thats it. Devinn 02-22-2008, 09:18 PM I've never been pregnant but my friend smothered cocoa butter on her tummy 24/7 and had NO lasting stretch marks. I hope I'm lucky enough to be the same way when the time comes :D Nope. None. Not a single one, wait....one about the length of a dime on my left side near my rib cage. LOL Really, I was a lucky one and was able to escape the rath of the stretch mark troll. Just use ALOT of lotion(shea butter) on your belly. No amount of cream or use of expensive creams will keep you from getting stretch marks if you are predisposed to them. Ya'll are just part of the lucky bunch. I am getting them and boy do they suck!! They itch and it hurts to scratch them! I lather on expensive stretch mark lotion all day long and the stupid things still itch! :arg Quit using that stuff...it won't help. You're just wasting money. Well, I hope I'm not jinxing myself here, but while I was pregnant with Kylee I didn't have any... after I had her, I had a couple, my biggest issue was my tummy was all wrinkley, but my little concoction... I will post it again, cleared it all up (stretch marks included)... 1/2 part Revlon anti-aging cream (or anything containing Botafirm), 1/4 part pure cocoa butter, 1/4 part pure vitamin E oil. Unfortunately, you're wrong. I'm confused though, you said you didn't have any, that you were only "wrinkly" but that this concoction got rid of "everything, stretch marks included". :puzz If you have the :quote magic secret :quote to stretch marks, you would be one rich damn woman. Stretch marks are basically SCARS, they don't go away no matter what you do. stretch marks depend in the elasticity of your skin, if you have good elasticity then your stretch marks could go away or never show up. And Sarah's right no amount of cream will make them go away once they are there. :yes :tu Mommy2Bailey 02-22-2008, 09:20 PM no Mommy960003 02-24-2008, 12:35 PM I didn't notice them til after I delivered, they were on the bottom side of my tummy, below my beyy button. I am PRAYING that this time around they don't stretch upward! Drink LOTS of water, it helps with the skins elasticity. Dani 02-24-2008, 01:01 PM I got a few towards the end of pregnancy 37th week and then got more during delivery. I don't know how that worked. :dunno letgo0527 02-24-2008, 01:06 PM Oooooh yeah....i look like a road map....thanks mom for the great skin...:sarcasm Carlye<3Sailor 02-24-2008, 04:34 PM Not yet but i also am barely showing, and I knowwwww theyre coming.. so just waiting..unfortunately! KDMatthews 02-24-2008, 10:14 PM I was lucky...two babies, no stretch marks mara_jade81 02-25-2008, 01:26 PM No stretch marks on my belly either time, just on my boobs a little bit the first time. mommytobe3421 02-25-2008, 02:24 PM yes i have strech marks but didnt start getting them until i was like 20 weeks, but they arnt very dark i can only see them in the mirror or when i take a pic of my belly just us lots of cocobutter or get some bio oil ive heard good things about that stuff girl20racer 02-25-2008, 02:24 PM The last month when she dropped I got them bad.. Nickschic 02-25-2008, 07:19 PM Yes I got them with my first. But after I had her they got so light you couldnt see them. I hope Im that lucky again. leftover 02-25-2008, 07:26 PM I didn't get any.. :shrug girl20racer 02-25-2008, 09:21 PM I didn't get any.. :shrug youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111 Joking, I (L) you. :giggle Budreckisgrl0026 02-26-2008, 06:11 PM I have a little little strech marks on my stomach, but they really hit me on my hips MontanaSweetie 02-26-2008, 06:13 PM Yep. MSJackson 02-26-2008, 06:15 PM omg, i got them bad! i did the cocoa butter thing too. but i still ended up looking like freddy kruger in the end. and i have them every where! my stomach, my boobs, under my arms, behind my knees, I even have a rainbow of them going across my ass! I HATE THEM!!!! NikkiD 02-26-2008, 06:28 PM I only got a few small ones across the top of my butt/lower back area that have faded over the years and one tiny one that formed off my c-section scar when pregnant with my third/last baby which also is barely noticeable. Otherwise, stretch mark free. I used baby oil faithfully every day after my showers for a few years prior to pregnancy and continued to do so throughout all three pregnancies. I don't know if that helped keep my skin more supple or not. My mom had really bad stretch marks so I didn't get it from her. Maybe my dad's side of the family. |
