OK so I send DB a lot of what I thought were upbeat supportive emails about how he is a hero to everyone back home and no matter how he feels he is an amazing guy and I am not blowing smoke up his ass cause he is a great guy!! But, I know he's not freaking Superman. I mean I love him faults and all and shoot I know he loves me despite my many areas of "needs improvement" but today on IM he said something and I was like you are my "special friend" trying to be funny and then he said "whatever" and I said no really you are very very special to me...and he said "no and please don't build me up anymore...i already think I'll never be able to measure up to the man you think I am" :arg :arg ............UH OH!!!!!!!!!!! So I said I know you're not super man and I like you just the way you are....so he said OK.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........unintended consequences of trying to build him up now he thinks I won't love him cause as he put it "i can be a huge asshole sometimes" YEAH I know and I can be a royal Bitch we have established both of those things. :duh :duh :duh

I always tell DF how proud I am but at the same time not sit there and throw some sort of "Mike(df's name) is THE most amazing human being alive" parade. That is a lot of pressure for one person. yeah I didn't think I was blowing smoke up his ass either....I mean I really didn't think I was being that mushy but I guess I was. Funny thing is I'm not that way at all in person...hahahahaha

he is stressed i wouldnt take it personally just smthg to learn about him for the future....Im sorry that it went sour, you too just love each other so much and sometimes it manifests itself in different ways haha...with men not always the most sensible ways.

I used to decorate his care packages with "you're my hero" crap and then I was "ok, this is a bit excessive." The guy isn't ghandi, he's the same person who traps his farts under the covers at night. ha! You are just trying to be supportive and no one can fault you for that!
